Our Trip to Newcastle

Over April my boyfriend and I went to Newcastle just for a little weekend away to celebrate his birthday. We stayed in a lovely Air BnB instead of a hotel. I am a full convert to Air BnB and honestly think they are soooo much better and cheaper than hotels! Anyway, when we were in Newcastle we went to lots and lots of vegan restaurants and had a lot of food so be ready for a very picture heavy post…….

Our Air BnB we stayed in was super cute, it was just a little studio which was perfect for the three days we stayed there for.

The first day we just wondered around the city and found this really cute little tea house, called Tea Sultra Teahouse. It was very bohemian and did a huge range of different teas. I normally don’t range out of my tea comfort zone aka the only tea I normally drink is English Breakfast Tea, but this was a lovely change.

rose tea is excellent, 10/10 would recommend

We also ate lunch there and had this lovely falafel wrap and a slice of Chai Tea cake.{where’s the bruce boggtrotter emoji at?!?!?!}

In the evening we went to a restaurant called The Bohemian, the food here was the BEST.

a lil snap of my outfit on the saturday night

For starters I had garlic mushrooms and then the main I had a Chimichanga, which basically is a deep fried burrito topped with sour cream and guacamole. Honestly this was the tastiest thing I have eaten in a long time {it might have tasted so good because I had had more than four cocktails at this point…..but I still think it was the food}.For dessert I had Churros with dark chocolate dipping sauce… so so soooo good. The rest of the night we spent going to different bars out in Newcastle!

looks sad but honestly was the tastiest thing in the world

The next day we spent wondering around and just looking round the city! We went to a couple more tea houses and had a Las Iganuas for dinner since most the vegan restaurants were closed </3. Although we wondered around a lot in Newcastle, there isn’t a huge amount of attractions other than shopping so that is mainly what we did!

On our last day, we went to the sky apple cafe for brunch, this was a lovely little cafe and gave us a huge portioned brunch for a decent price too!!! Would definitely recommend it!

So that was our little trip, although we didn’t do a huge amount of things other than eating at lots of vegan restaurants, it was a lovely little break from all the uni work I had to do.

I would definitely recommend going to the restaurants we went to, the Bohemian was on the pricier side but the food was amazing!!!

Let me know if you have been to Newcastle and if you have been to any of the restaurants and what you did!
