Skincare Saviours {January}

Oh January, a month I am not sad to see go. In fact, this month has felt like it has lasted forever, at one point I thought it would never end. However, one thing that I have loved this month is my skin. I have such a love/hate relationship with my skin and honestly is something which tends to make me very self-conscious.  Finding the right products for your skin can be such a challenging thing, especially when skincare is sooo expensive. Since it is hard to find the right products for your skin, especially since I have problematic skin and I know many others suffer from the same issues when I find a product that works..I stick to it. So instead of doing updated skincare routines, I thought I would talk about what skincare products have really been changing my skin this month…and trust me there are some goodies in here. Let’s get into it….

Emma Hardie: ‘Amazing Face- Moringa Cleansing Balm’

This stuff is an oldie but a goodie. This was one of the first balms I ever used and to be honest, I don’t know why I stopped using it! This stuff is literally liquid gold for the face {I am not kidding}. This balm is perfect for extremely dry skin it contains Moringa Seed Extract which is full of antioxidant properties, Vitamin E which provides added moisture and sweet orange which rejuvenates skin.

The balm itself transforms into a cleansing milk when put on the skin with a little water. I like to leave it on for at least 10 minutes and honestly, my skin hasn’t looked better in MONTHS. This balm gives you the clean feeling without feeling too heavy and without giving your skin that “stripped” feeling. It is super moisturising and sooo luxurious. The only thing I don’t like about it is the expensive price tag {wah}.

Mario Badescu: ‘Botanical Exfoliating Scrub’

 I actually have never branched out to using this brand before, however, I was in desperate need of a winter exfoliator and boy have I been loving the results of this one! This scrub is extremely fine, which a lot of people actually avoid but they are soooo much better than clumpy scrubs. Due to how fine it is, it is perfect for more sensitive skin types {like my own}.

The scrub makes my skin feel instantly firmer, plus, the green tea and aloe vera extracts make it great for combating spot prone and oily skin. This honestly, has helped my complexion so much. I am very spot prone and break out all the time, I like to use this scrub twice a week to help combat that {it has worked wonders}.

Dr Botanicals: ‘Moroccan Rose Superfood Oil’

I actually received this as a sample in one of my Christmas advent calendars. Since I suffer from a lot of redness on my skin this has really helped with that issue. It’s full of Vitamin A which is a powerful antioxidant which aims to even skin tone and rejuvenate skin.

All the essential oils in this serum are all full of minerals and vitamins which aim to give skin a younger appearance and it is making all my baby face dreams come true.

So there you have it, my skincare saviours for January. I have never felt more comfortable in my skin and it is down to these products. The only struggle with these products is the price, but ya know every day is a treat yo-self day…isn’t it?!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products, and your thoughts?!

Love,
